Lessons from Stayin' Alive

1. You can tell by the way that someone “uses (his) walk” that he really ought to stop using walking as a means of communication.

2. We can try to understand “a New York high Jamaican man” or even “that New York times are made for men” but not the correct Bee Gees lyric “the New York Times’ effect on man” which is just plain incomprehensible.

3. The Bee Gees wrote the line “I’m a dancing man and I just can’t lose” in 1977 but, surprisingly, the victory rates of dancing men over real life have since been in steady decline. (edf)
