"Faithful", la Germania lancia Cherine Nouri

Grande voce, pezzo dolcissimo.

How to start your own record label

Check Out http://tilimusic.com/

Hello, I’m here to give you the run down on starting your own record label.
It may sound like a daunting task but it’s really not as hard as most people might think…if you approach it in a structured manner.

What I mean by that is, you need a plan and if you stick to that plan it will go smoothly.

Your plan will include goals and strategies.

Map out what needs to be done then when and how you expect to accomplish it.

My first task or thing that needs to be done no matter what the project is research and whether you know it or not, that’s what you’re doing right now.

Once you have all the information you need, brainstorm on what needs to be accomplished in the next year. This will be an ongoing process, as when you start putting your plan into action things will change and you need to effectively adjust to those changes.

Consider brainstorming with other people, perhaps someone who can give you some insight on their experience in successfully starting their own business. A different take on the matter may open your eyes to new and different ideas you may not have thought of before.

When you finish brainstorming, set your plan or strategy to a time line.

Make reasonable goals that you will be able to accomplish. Setting unreasonable goals is a sure way to become discouraged and impede your progress.

Such goals as making a million dollars in the first year, the number of records sold or artists you’ll be managing.

Make goals that you have complete control over.

The next step in your process is making your record label official. There are a couple ways you can do this.

To incorporate or not to incorporate…that is the question.

You may ask, well what’s the difference and how do I know which I should choose.

Well when you form a corporation, you will be keeping your business dealings, money, etc. completely separate from your personal assets.

To a major label, incorporating has its advantages, such as; limited liability, better tax options, and flexible partnership arrangements.

To incorporate: you’ll need to register with the state you’re operating your label in.
Not to incorporate: you’ll still need to register your label name so you can do business in the name of your label. This process is simple, just go to your local county clerks office (that is the county clerk in the state you will doing the majority of your business in) and register your label name, this is called getting your DBA or doing business as license.

This is the option that most people choose to start there company.

A DBA allows you to conduct all of your business under your record label name, this is very important for any one trying to make money in any business.

Now that you have your foundation set, get to work and have fun

The Virgins

This is the 79th post in our Musician of the Day series.

The Virgins were formed in 2006 in New York. The band members are Donald Cumming (vocals and guitar), Wade Oates (guitar), and Nick Zarin-Ackerman (bass). The band name was conceived by Donald even before he formed the band and it has since become the butt of a number of puns and jokes.

Immediately after formed the band began working on their EP which featured five songs and was entitled The Virgins ‘07. Once it was finished Donald began handing it out to DJs and friends, and eventually the songs began to make their way into the New York Club Scene. They EP reached Atlantic Records and the group was soon signed.

In 2008 the band released their first full length album entitled The Virgins. Since then they have toured with Jet, opened for Sonic Youth and Patti Smith and have traveled as far as Norway promoting their music. Their music is becoming known throughout the world and their song “Rich Girls” was number 68 on Rolling Stones’ list of the top 100 songs of 2008.

Currently the band is promoting their music through a European tour.

Sawasdee...

Several years ago I came across a lovely book called “Very Thai” by Philip Cornwel-Smith (2005).   (Well, it is ironic it took the eyes of the foreigners to recognize something ‘very Thai.’  Nevertheless, the images from that book never cease to popp up in my mind’s eyes.  Later, I have realized the book wa’s about “Thai kitsch.”

Something about “kitsch” resonates with my childhood experience of growing up, and living through a transition of Bangkok’s pop culture.  To me, “kitsch” is more than something tacky, poor taste, and aesthetically pretentious.

Although many art critics considered the term “kitsch” as derogatory denoting shallow and gaudy works that do not deserve to be considered ‘arts.’  (Well, apparently, there is such thing as ‘artistic discrimination.)  On the contrary, I would argue that kitsch’s appeal is attributable to its sincerity.  Kitsch is about everyday’s life and the cultural expression of common people…about me, about a lot of us.  Kitsch is undeniably an important part of the modern day “collective consciousness.”

And through this BKK Kitsch Blog, I am hoping to make visible the invisible message of the contemporary Thai popular culture.  It is also a way for me to explore the “collective consciousness” of the popular Thai culture through the underlying message inherent in these everyday objects.

This blog is my attempt to share the images, passion, and thought about Thai “kitsch” to those who might be interested.  As articulated by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s fox to the Little Prince that “it is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”

I love “kitsch,”

John Tesh

John Tesh

This is the 74th post in our Musician of the Day series.

John Tesh was born in 1952 in New York. He started playing piano and trumpet at the age of 6. He was named to the New York State Symphony Orchestra while he was still at highschool and at the same time he was playing organ in a rock band. He went on to graduate from college and then he moved to Orlando, Florida to work at WFTV.

His early years were spent as a new reporter and he worked at a number of different stations across the country. He was eventually called on to host Entertainment Tonight. But in 1987 he decided to get back into music. His good friend Yanni was just about to start a tour and John asked if he could join them on tour as a keyboardist. He managed to juggle performing, hosting the tonight show and the long hours of rehearsal for 12 shows.

Yanni helped John get his own recording contract with Private Music and in 1988 John released his first album Tour de France. After his first record John started to put out albums like crazy even though he switched record companies a few times. It went so well that in 1996 he quit his position with Entertainment Tonight in order for focus on his music.

Today he has won four Emmy Awards and put out dozens of albums.

Quick Slick…..

Syreeta – Quick Slick

Speriamo.

Känner för att vara lite "Slick" idag.....

Princess – Say I’m your Number 1

Princess – Say I’m your Number 1 (12’-version)

A Beach Spiralling While Waiting Two Hours in the Traffic - S05E11

I know the title for this entry sounds weird and I’m being creative with it whenever I can. I’m trying to combine Spiral Beach and Two Hours Traffic together,
Saturday night was frigid at Zaphod Beeblebrox for the Two Hours Traffic and Spiral Beach with The Danks concert. I had the opportunity to get audio interviews with both bands. I am unsure when I will air it because CKCU will be starting their funding drive. Before the concert started, the place was getting smokey and I don’t know what was going on. It might of been the heater. This was when Spiral Beach was on their sound check. I did not know that this concert was the final show of their Canadian tour. It must be nice to finish the tour in the Nation’s Capital.
When The Danks started their set, the building was starting to warm up from the lack of heat. Overall, they played a rocking set and I totally forgot they are from P.E.I. and members are one-half of Two Hours Traffic. There were some people dancing along to their songs.
After The Danks was Toronto’s Spiral Beach. As usual, they brought the crowd to an energetic start. It was a packed crowd and they sure didn’t disappoint. They played their older and the newer songs like Made of Stone and Domino.
Finally, to Two Hours Traffic, they started off with two popular songs, first with Territory from their new album and the second being Nighthawks. They sure know how to keep the crowds happy because it was totally packed and I couldn’t take a lot of photos during their performance. The last song before their encore was Jezebel, another popular song of theirs. When they did their encore before the 11pm curfew, one of the songs I totally forgot was “Backseat Sweetheart.”
I totally enjoyed their concert because it has been awhile I have gone to Zaphods and seeing the packed crowds is just fun to see.
You can click here to view the photos from the Two Hours Traffic, Spiral Beach and The Danks concert.
A Last Minute Event on Friday Night
Friday night, I had a last minute opportunity to check out OCFF at The Crowne Plaza Hotel. The acts I checked out were $100, Rose Cousins, and Bruce Peninsula. Afterwards, I hopped over to the Glue Pot for several acts there. Good thing the two Brian’s were there or I would have been a bit bored being there.
You can click here to view the photos.

The Black Hollies - Softly Towards The Light

On the followup to their stellar record, Casting Shadows, New Jersey band the Black Hollies slow the tempo down a bit and offer up more psychedelic pop than psychedelic rock this time, but the results are generally as good. The production once again sounds like the record was made in the 60’s, though, as with Casting Shadows, the tracks are all Black Hollies originals. I do favor their faster numbers, tracks like “Run With Me Run,” “Gloomy Monday Morning” and “Look What You’ve Done,” but they also score with slower songs like the closer “Don’t Be Afraid To Ask.” The music is a dynamic, infectious mix of psychedelic rock and pop, garage rock and a little bit of soul. This is a solid third release for the Black Hollies that demonstrates their versatility while expanding their rock and pop horizons. Hopefully, this record will earn them the wider audience they deserve.

Scholl of Seven Bells

Veo Visiones

Boz Scaggs/Hits!

Boz Scaggs is an American Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist who claimed great worldwide acclaim in the late 1970’s/early 80’s. Scagg’s release Silk Degrees brought the singer worldwide success and acclaim in AOR radio outlets. This album, it is interesting to note, was recorded by session musicians who later went on to form the multi-platinum Toto. Scaggs, unable to quite replicate the success of his heyday still records and tours to this day. Thus far, Boz has released 23 full length releases. It is also interesting to note that Scagg’s son Austin is the author of the popular column ‘Smoking Section’ in rolling Stone Magazine.

Lowdown—-Reeking of the popular and defining recipe of 70’s radio, the song is a smooth almost jazzy feel that sucks you into a nice groove from the first few bars. Scaggs delivers an odd deep throated vocal that sometimes soars to a clear tenor, and then tries to delve into a realm that is beyond him…this only serves to make him more endearing. The back up singers add the flair needed for FM radio and the sound is classic. I have looked for a great version of this release and finally found it today…the little things make me so happy.

You Make It Hard [To Say No]—-If you are reading this and you were around and aware of AM radio of the late 70’s, you cannot help but smile as you hear the refrains from this song. The track is full of a sunny feel…horns abound with the addition of female back up singers and literally defines the times. The vocal of Boz only serve to bolster the track as he delivers a cool and jazzy laid back vocal that has chart success written all over it. I can still hear Casey Kasem extolling the man’s talents on American Top 40. Wonderful to revisit.

Miss Sun—-One of Scaggs biggest and most enduring hits, the song has a feel that was alluring to the disco crowd and the top 40 listener. The AOR recipe was in full effect…everything fell into place for him at the time…masterful female backing sounds, a really danceable almost dirty groove and a downshift to the song that makes you want to move…this is classic and not to be missed…YouTube this track…the back up singers almost show up Boz at times. Wonderful…..tripping down memory lane!!!

Lido Shuffle—-Scaggs takes on a more deeper and sexy sound to his voice that gives this song a huge feel…the song itself is full of horns and irresistible hooks. You cannot dent the catch of the melody..it stays with you and will not let you alone. I have not been in possession of this Hits CD for about 15 years and still yearned for it from time to time…you can not dent the genius of the release and the ‘right record at the right time’ theory. Scaggs toiled for years and then worldwide success landed at his doorstep in an instance with this release. This is classic and masterful…brilloiant and wonderful!!!!

We’re All Alone—-It is wonderful to hear this top 40 slop once again…I have vivid images of the song and the time it was released. All of the difficult struggles of adolescence and emerging sexuality. The confusion and the inner turmoil of decisions and consequences of those decisions. This is a pure trip down a yellow brick road that is not so grand or fun any more, but nostalgic and necessary none the less. This is fantastic! Seek this out if you really love music!

Breakdown Dead Ahead—-This track follows in the same recipe that made Silk Degrees such a success for Scaggs. The voice is laid back, bluesy and sexy. The delivery is almost too perfectly matched to the music and you can hear the Toto  sound even here in the pace of the song. Scaggs inclusion of the female singers is genius…it adds so much more depth and soul to the music. this is wonderful…the phrasing and delivery of the lyric is masterful. I love this!!!!

Look What You’ve Done To Me—-I have vivid memories of this song…I had a job in a full service restaurant as a busboy when this song was in full rotation…I remember playing countless hours of Pac-Man on the arcade game in the lobby and this song constantly showing up on the playlist. It was a vivid picture of my adolescent and it always brings me to tumultuous thoughts of my development at the time. Scaggs is so serious and sincere in his delivery, the swells of the music sucks you in and makes you instantly introspective and full of thoughts of long ago.  Wonderful to hear again, but I would never go back to those difficult and torrid days. A true AOR masterpiece!!!

JoJo—-Full of a slight funky feel, the song has horns and cool vocal deliveries. The delivery of the song is sexy and low down dirtiness that brings about visions of blues and dark dank clubs. The vocal delivery is almost slif=ding in scale and the female back up singers only add to the atmosphere of the song. this is wonderful!!1 The song changes tempo often and the horn add a nice bluesy almost low down dirty feel to the song…classic Toto sounds as you look back on it. this is wonderful…I never tire of this.

Dinah Flo—-I hate to beat a dead horse [so to speak]. but this song just reeks of the classic AOR recipe…it is no wonder Scaggs found such huge success at the time he did. All over AM radio, you could hear Smoky Robinson, Air Supply and bands that delivered the type of mind numbing slop that you could forget your life in…this is classic. Wonderfully delivered with huge blues piano and horns, the song does not rely so much on Scaggs as it does the music and the background singers. In this song….everyone is a star!

You Can Have Me Anytime—-The delivery of the song is almost haunting and plays like the theme song to a really sad movie. Scaggs delivers a vocal that is unaffected and straight up pleasurable emotion. wonderfully constructed, the song relies only on the quasi-orchestrated backdrop and the emotional delivery that Boz brings to the song. This is wonderful…a nice listen on a snowy night in front of the fireplace or a stormy day when you are hurting or lonely…the beauty is that the song is so adaptive. A true master!

LOU REED - " VICIOUS "

LOU REED – ” VICIOUS “

Vicious
You hit me with a flower
You do it every hour
Ohh, baby youre so vicious

Vicious
You want me to hit you with a stick
But all Ive gots a guitar pick
Huh… baby youre so vicious

When I watch you come
I just want to run far away
Youre not the kind of person
Around whom I want to stay

When I see you comin down the street
I step on your hands and I mangle your feet
Youre not the kind of person that I wanna meet
Oh, baby, youre so vicious

Vicious
You hit me with a flower
You do it every hour
Ohh, baby youre so vicious

Vicious
Hey, why dont you swallow razor blades
You must think Im some kinda gay blade
But baby, youre so vicious
When I watch you comin
I just have to run
Youre not good and you certainly arent very much fun
When I see you walkin down the street
I step on your hand and I mangle your feet
Youre not the kind of person that I even wanna meet
cause youre so vicious

Vicious
Vicious…

Vicious
Usted me golpeó con una flor
Usted lo hace cada hora
Ohh, youre bebé tan vicioso

Vicious

Oh, baby, youre tan vicioso

Vicious
Usted me golpeó con una flor
Usted lo hace cada hora
Ohh, youre bebé tan vicioso

Vicious
Debes pensar que soy gay hoja Some Kinda
youre causa tan vicioso

Vicious

Rick James – Super Freak

James Brown, Michael Jackson & Prince on stage 1983

Carbon Leaf: The band that nobody has heard of....

I had never heard of them either, until I heard a song by them as I was flipping through radio stations in Baltimore (by the way, they have great radio!) The song was called The Boxer, and was just beautiful in a folk music-y, stunning sort of way, and it caught my attention immediately!

As soon as I got home I looked them up on youtube, and discovered they actually had 8 Cds out already, and were supposedly well known. While I haven’t found any of their other songs that are quite as folk-y as The Boxer, many of them are pretty amazing. Several that especially piqued my interest were Life Less Ordinary and Let Your Troubles Roll By.

My current project is leaning to play Let Your Troubles Roll By on guitar, which seems to be coming along well! Maybe once I am finished I will post a video

About Carbon Leaf (snatched from Amazon)-

“Some bands insist on dragging listeners into their world, but Carbon Leaf works towards a more admirable and considerably more difficult goal – that of letting perfect strangers feel that the band understands their world. The band succeeds in doing just that — and in creating a soundtrack suitable for multiple worlds — on its third Vanguard release, Nothing Rhymes With Woman.

“For me, this is an album that’s focused on growth and maturity, but it’s not deadly serious,” says front man Barry Privett. “I wanted to examine my life and the lives of my family and friends and do it with a little bit of a wink. The last thing I wanted to do was get all dark and overwrought.”

Privett and his bandmates dodge that pitfall with aplomb on Nothing Rhymes With Woman, the much-anticipated follow-up to the acclaimed 2006 offering Love, Loss, Hope, Repeat. As ever, the quintet — recently joined by drummer Jason Neal, a veteran of the southeast’s club circuit, and Seattle bassist Jon Markel — challenge themselves and listeners by steadfastly refusing to retrace old steps, bringing in like-minded collaborators (like Toby Lightman, who brings a burnished tone to her vocal parts on the gritty “Meltdown”) and taking off in plenty of new directions of their own accord.

That sense of freshness, to hear Privett tell the tale, has a lot to do with the relaxed nature of the disc’s recording, which took place in their Richmond, Virginia backyard. “This time, we did something we hadn’t done in a long time, and that was to just throw away the timeline altogether,” says the singer. “We waited until everyone believed in every single song without any doubt or questions. It was a return to the days of doing music for the sheer joy of just doing it.”

The joy he’s talking about proves contagious throughout the 13-song disc, both in sonic touches like the soaring harmonies that buoy “Indecision” and the instantly-relatable vibe of narratives like the nostalgic childhood flashback “X-Ray.” The tones are certainly varied — things get more than a little misty on “Pink,” a poignant tale of a woman battling serious illness — but they’re invariably free of artificiality. Every color here is one that one can find in nature.

“A lot of the songs are about getting back to your roots,” says Privett, who reckons the band gained a lot of traction by spending a considerable stretch of time close to home, as opposed to its usual relentless touring slate. “You know, holding onto the touchstones that keep you grounded in reality. They’re easy to lose sight of sometimes, and often you need reminding. Fortunately, we have friends and family that will do that in no uncertain terms.”

Nothing Rhymes With Woman finds the Virginia-based band firmly in touch with its roots — the Celtic tinge that cloaks “Pink” is reminiscent of Carbon Leaf’s passel of self-released discs. Throughout the set, however, the quintet affirms a commitment to moving forward, kicking out the jams a bit more aggressively on the sinewy walking blues “Another Man’s Woman” and interpolating the rich organ playing of longtime Dave Matthews Band keyboardist Butch Taylor on several tracks, including the arresting opener “Indecision.”

“It’s always been really important to us to keep an organic feel to what we do,” says Privett. “For us, recording this album was like a renewal, kind of like the coming of spring. In a way, it’s very sensual, very sexual, gentle and mellow in spots, but also acknowledges a fair share of optimism and a re-awakening to new possibilities.

In 2004, Vanguard released Carbon Leaf’s breakthrough disc, Indian Summer, which earned rave reviews from sources like The Washington Post, which marveled at Privett’s ability to “capture the emotional ache of a twenty-something as he watches his friends scatter to the four corners of the world”. For the next year and a half, the quintet would set about winning over audiences while on tour — a recipe that helped “Life Less Ordinary” and “What About Everything?” up the charts.

That winning streak continued with Love, Loss, Hope, Repeat, a darker collection, recorded in Nashville, that showcased other facets of the Carbon Leaf sound and rose to number-three on Billboard’s Top New Artists chart. “We definitely stretched ourselves on that album,” says Privett. “It was unsettling in a way, but definitely helped us find ourselves.”

Reunited with producer John Morand, who manned the board for Indian Summer, Carbon Leaf takes the proverbial next step on Nothing Rhymes With Woman. The multi-instrumental web woven by Carter Gravatt and Terry Clark provides a perfect backdrop for Privett’s tenor, which hovers ethereally on “Lake of Silver Bells” and cuts with the precision of a knife wielded by a master chef on the poignant “Miss Hollywood.”

“I think ’Miss Hollywood,’ like a lot of the album, has a kind of feminine energy, which helps explain the title,” says Privett. “It’s that balance of strength and fragility, of keeping dreams in check, but not forgetting where they came from. It’s a positive and nurturing energy, and that’s the feeling we’d like people to come away with when they listen to the album.”

Paty Cantu & Panda: Ganan Premio MTV

por: Agencia
Fuente: AP

Tuesday Review Round-Up

This week at Slant, I’ve got reviews up for two new releases, both hitting stores today: Built to Spill’s latest, and the state-side drop of the xx’s self-titled debut. I’ve posted some excerpts below, you can follow the links to Slant for the full album reviews.

On the xx by the xx (4.5 stars):

If that sounds trying in print, it’s a pleasure to report what a wholly engrossing pop album the xx have crafted. Indie sorts will emphasize the band’s similarities to Joy Division and Portishead, and they aren’t wrong, but fans of Regina Spektor’s woozy ballads or the coyly sex-pop of early Belle & Sebastian will find as much to enjoy. xx sounds as though it could have been released any time in the past three decades, and would be equally at home on a mixtape with Roxy Music, New Order, and Interpol. Whomever their influences, though, the xx seems refreshingly detached from any recent trends in pop music, indie or mainstream. And whatever its instrumental touchstones, there’s no denying that xx derives its abundant soul from Sims and Crofts’s utterly charming vocal exchanges.

On There is No Enemy by Built to Spill (3.5 stars):

There’s a terrific mid-album scorcher called “Pat” that revisits the fury of the opening track, but for the most part, Built to Spill plays things safe here. Dough Martsch’s languid virtuosity gets plenty of beautiful showcases, those long, hyper-melodic solos that have always been his calling card surfacing on nearly every track. Unlike 2006’s stripped-down You in Reverse, There Is No Enemy gets a glossy production job courtesy of Doug Trumfio, and the slick, glam result is reminiscent of T. Rex. That’s pretty consistent with the band’s trajectory since the mid-’90s, though the return-to-form will not please lo-fi partisans who like Built to Spill better when they sound like that other dinosaur band.

The Beau Brummels - One Too Many Mornings

The Beau Brummels

Listen -The Beau Brummels – One Too Many Mornings – MP3

Greetings all.

How’s about something lively to get the week off to a banging start?
I have been a Beau Brummels fan for a long time. I always dug their jangly Merseyside via the Golden Gate sound, but they really dug themselves a hole in my brain the first time I watched the spectacularly awful mid-60s exploito film ‘Village of the Giants’. When I say ‘spectacularly awful’, what I mean is that it is in many ways truly spectacular, while simultaneously defining awfulness in a very ordinary way.
How else would you describe a movie that features a wild cast – including Beau Bridges, Ron Howard, Tim Rooney (son of the Mick and star of ‘Riot On Sunset Strip’), Toni Basil, and Disney/Beach Party stalwart Tommy Kirk, as well as Freddy Cannon and none other than the Beau Brummels.
I first saw this movie through a haze of vile, cheap beer at a party that followed a Phantom Five gig out in the wilds of Pennsylvania. I was sucked in by the wild, mid-60s drive-in vibe, but what really got me was when the opening guitar riff of the Beau Brummels’ ‘When It Comes to Your Love’ came shooting out of the TV.
Even in my polluted condition I was all ‘Whoa dad! Where has this song been all my life?’*
When I eventually remembered the song, I tracked it down only to find out that it only ever appeared on the soundtrack to that movie. I eventually got someone to dub me a copy and from that I ran a line from the TV to my tuner and made a rough cassette dub of the song that I played to death until a few years later when it was included on a Rhino ‘Best of’ CD.
This is all – of course – neither here nor there, serving only to let you know that I once dug the Beau Brummels, only to find myself digging them even more at a later date.
That said, the Beau Brummels are a great example of unfulfilled promise, in that they had a boatload of talent but were all but a done deal by the late 60s. This may have had something to do with an ill-advised/ill-timed all-covers album, ‘Beau Brummels ‘66’, recorded after they jumped to Warner Brothers records. The label did not control the group’s publishing, so in 1966, when the rest of the rock world was branching out and experimenting, displaying their artistic growth to the world, the Beau Brummels were covering those songs instead of doing the same.
Today’s selection is proof that they should still have been taken seriously. Itself a cover (of a Bob Dylan tune) ‘One Too Many Mornings’ is a great bit of countrified garage (or is it garagey country) with a stomping fuzz guitar opening up onto waves of jangly rhythm guitars. It’s a harder take on the kinds of sounds the Byrds would soon be working with, and I imagine that had they run with this vibe they might have risen to another level entirely.
Instead, they hobbled into their acknowledged masterpiece with an album that wasn’t heard by nearly enough people, the wonderful ‘Triangle’.
In fact, ‘One Too Many Mornings’ was the last Beau Brummels record to hit the charts, reaching the Top 40 in the Spring of 1966.
If you’re already hep to the Beau Brummels, dig the tune. If you’re not, grab the first two albums, as well as ‘Triangle’ and ‘Bradley’s Barn’ and dig into a truly underrated American band.

Peace

Larry

*This, and the fact that the band appeared in cartoon form on the Flintstones (as the Beau Brummelstones, natch…)

Is JT Hooking Up with Rihanna?

Apparently Russell Brand and Katy Perry weren’t the the only ones cozying up at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards!

In the latest issue of Star Magazine, sources claim that recently single (?) Justin Timberlake and Rihanna “have been talking and texting on the phone nonstop since the VMAs.”

Oh la la.

Timberlake even reportedly scored a personal lap dance from the “Umbrella” singer during a studio session for her forthcoming album. The couple previously recorded a song together (”Rehab”) on Rihanna’s sophomore CD, Good Girl Gone Bad. Check out the video:

Jessica Biel must fury-ass she ever let J.T. get this hot ‘n heavy with the Barbados beauty!
