Surroundings play an important part in the development of a band’s sound and this is no more apparent than with Dead Gaze. Brought up in rural Mississippi, Furlow drawls lackadaisically over reverb-heavy instrumentation reminiscent of vast rambling countryside and hot summer days. Simple songs with glorious textures.
